The trip started out wonderfully, mostly because we went first thing to go get snacks, and while waiting to turn into Walmart there was an Infinity in front of us that had the license plate that said, “NB3YOND”. It was brilliant. It made me laugh. Anyways, we got our snacks and hit the road. It was not a super exciting or eventful drive, and 3+ hours later I was dropping Bethany off at Covenant College. She wanted me to help get her registered and things, and so about 45 minutes after arriving, she let me leave. And after another 3 hour drive I arrived in East Tennessee.
Upon arriving in East Tennessee, I reunited with Mrs. Robin Inman and her daughters Mollie and Lillie. After talking for a little over an hour, we decided that we wanted to go to a movie. We walked next door to see my friends, Hayley and Haven Holt, and asked if they wanted to join us. The 6 of us headed off to the movies to see God’s Not Dead, during this movie Mrs. Robin decided to spill half her popcorn on me, which was totally cool because ya know, butter J
After the movie we went back to the house and chilled for a while until my friend Jay come home. Jay is Mrs. Robin’s son. I met Jay over 4 years ago at PWI, during the summer, and we have been family ever since. We decided to go over and eat at the local Mexican restaurant, El Sazon. I had nachos, Jay bet I couldn’t eat the whole thing, I did, he paid, boom. We watched a basketball game during dinner, and then we went over and I got to meet one of Jay’s friends. Afterwards we came back to the house and chilled and talked with the whole family for a few hours. At this point, it was time for me to go to sleep. While I was getting ready for bed, Bethany texted me and let me know she wasn’t feeling well, and I told her to try and go to sleep and talk to me in the morning.
The next morning, I woke up early to have breakfast with Jay, Haven, and Hayley. While at breakfast, Bethany let me know she was really sick and decided that she needed to come home. So I went back to their house, picked up my things, and headed back out on the road. 3 hours in the pouring rain later, I picked poor Bethany up, and we headed back home.
Overall, the trip was fun for me, I can’t say the same for Bethany, but it was still nice to travel for the weekend!
