Do you remember when people used to ask you these types of questions:
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? (Tacos) If your life had a theme song what would it be? (I'm working on it.) What is your #1 place to travel to? (All of them. But, currently Canada, and then Greenland.) What is your dream job? (Keep Reading) Do you know why we ask questions? Seriously, do you know? Before you keep reading, think about it to yourself. Here is my answer: "I have no talent. I am only passionately curious."-Albert Einstein. I ask questions like the ones I listed at the beginning because I am curious. But what about other questions: Can you help me clean out my grandmothers house? Do you know someone I can talk to? Do you have any spare change? Why do we ask these questions? Which set of questions do you think is harder to ask? Which set do you find yourself asking more? I have a question. It is probably more similar to set 2. But for me it is because of the questions in set 1. I would not say that I am afraid of asking this question, but I would say that it is a humbling question to ask. Most of you know that I am the Assistant Director of the Proskuneo School of the Arts. Many of you know that Proskuneo staff is a paid through personal support. We do not get a paycheck based on a set rate and how many hours we work, we get paid based on a set and approved budget. In order to have money in this budget each staff member has to develop ministry partners who think the work they do is worth something. There are many ways people support staff members: through their prayers, volunteering in their specific area, meeting with them and offering encouragement, and financially. This is where I ask my question. I need you. I need ministry partners who can support me in all of these areas. Would you be willing to be one of these partners? I have a few right now, but I need more in order to continue my work in Clarkston. Most of you know how busy I am, and many of you could figure that I do not have time, nor a desire, to get another job to bring in additional finances. I love my job. I love all the aspects, even the hard ones, like waking up at 7am every Saturday. I currently receive just under $500 a month. That breaks down to about $125 a week. I spend about $100 on gas in a week alone. So, after meeting with Josh (my boss), we have decided I need to double my budget and develop many more ministry partners in order to meet my current financial needs and save for future needs. This is where you guys come in. I would love it if any of you would consider supporting me on my journey in Clarkston. I can meet with you and talk about what I do, you could come to PSOTA and see it for yourself, or you could pray about it and just support, pray, encourage, and give. Whatever you want or you feel like God wants would be amazing. If you have any questions you can email me at: [email protected] or call me at: 770-286-0797 If you would like, you can give securely online by clicking the “Donate” button at: http://proskuneo.org/get-involved/give Please make a note that it is for my salary. You can even choose the “Make Recurring Monthly” option! You can also give through Paypal, just click the button below. I am beyond grateful for anything, and I am praying God blesses you for even reading all of this. "Don't be afraid of the answers, be afraid of not asking the questions."- Jennifer Hudson |

This Page:Adventure is out there, so they say to follow the Yellow Brick Road, but often we are so afraid of the lions and tigers and bears that we simply stay home. I chose differently and will make an adventure out of anything whether it is inventing mac and cheese quesadillas or learning how to play Hallelujah on the piano with my toes (Yes I have done both). This is where I tell you about all those weekly adventures. Archives
