She is gaining weight properly (I haven't weighed her in a few weeks, so I don't know exactly how much she weighs). She is growing in the height department very quickly and is apparently in the 99%, whatever that means.
She is active and healthy. She loves to smile and entertain those around her with her wide variety of noises and motions.
She can all but sit up, loves to practice walking, and has been able to roll over since day one. Most people will tell you that she is "just such a happy baby" and they would be right. With a few rare exceptions, she is a literal bundle of joy, and this is one grateful momma.
She is incredibly clever, something that I absolutely love about her. She is also very curious. Both of these things may lead to trouble in the future, but for now, I totally love it. She reminds me of a fox or a raccoon. She totally recognizes most people that she sees regularly, and she pretends to recognize others just to make them happy. She definitely loves JT, but I am still the favorite (thanks to me being the one who feeds her). Then again, she loves just about everyone, as long as she isn't hungry. She is a cuddler when she is sleepy, and a wiggler when she is not. I should note here that she is hilarious, and she definitely knows it. She also knows when people are making fun of her and lets people that she doesn't appreciate it.
She loves to eat and does it like a pro, which I fully expected with her parents. I've intentionally set bed time as a night owl since that is what both JT and I, and I would 100% recommend it. Currently, she is sleeping from 11:30pm-5am before she stirs, but all I have to do is feed her for about 5 minutes and she goes right back to sleep until around 10am (sometimes one more feeding around 8am). Other than showing her all the love that I can and feeding her, it is pretty much the best thing I've done as a parent.
Another huge love of hers, which will come as a surprise to no one, is music. She absolutely loves it. The other morning, JT was practicing for praise team and she woke up singing along to the music. Yes, it was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. She also totally loves to watch sports on tv. We think it is because it is a love of solid colors with slight movement, as opposed to other things we watch where it is a lot of changing camera angles and colors. She also runs (moves her legs really fast) when she watches it, and she sometimes even yells at the TV. It's pretty funny to watch.
She really is wonderful, and I know I'm biased, but I also know that this little blessing is the perfect fit for our family and I'm forever grateful to God for giving her to us.
