As you can see by the photo today was the day Rachael and I got to see another one of our DR friends, Rafa. I met him through PWI and he is one of the most unintentionally hilarious people I know. We met up at a restaurant called Square One in Santiago, it is a popular restaurant for the college students to hang out at. Afterwards we took Rafa over to the college so he could do some work, but we drove around the campus, and it was beautiful. People often say that college campuses in the States are pretty, but this one was just beautiful.
This was kind of the day I got to see a lot of the places Beka and Rachael has told me about, one of which was the Santiago Christian School, where both of them went, and where Beka still goes. The school was such a cool experience, all of the students were coming up to see Rachael and say hi, and I was just there meeting them all, and it was just awesome. I also got to see my friend, Raquel! It was so fun to see here after not getting to for over a year! I think that my favorite memories of every trip I have been on is the people I meet, and in this trips case, the people who I already met and am friends with, but actually get to see!
I got to go to the mailbox where they receive all of their mail, because they are missionaries living out of the country they do not have a regular address instead they receive their mail through an organization called Agape Mail. I also got to see their first house they lived in and got a coke in the bottle from one of the nearby stores. I also got to experience something I do on a regular basis, but it was in a new environment, I got to watch part of an indoor soccer game that Beka was playing in. On the way back to the house we stopped and got some delicious ice cream. When we got home I got to see how both of the parents spend time with members of their "congregation" in different counseling sessions and other things, it was really cool because you can tell how they really care about the people they are working with. The rest of the day was spent at home mostly resting, because the next day we did something pretty exciting, but I will save that for the next post! :)

Picture 1: All of our food from Square One and the coke in the Bottle we got from their old neighborhood.
Picture 2: There were a lot of interesting things on the walls at Square One, anybody remember playing this? I loved the duck hunt game!
Picture 3: Rafa was really happy to see me! :)
Fun Facts:
1. I love foreign cokes. South African is my favorite, but the closest I can find in the States is Mexican coke, they actually sell it in gas stations now.
2. I am not a huge gamer, but I especially love going back and playing games that I used to play as a kid.
3. I've always thought it would be awesome to be a Christian Counselor.
