I mentioned in a fun facts a few weeks ago that I was reading through the bible in a year, and I have done it! I have officially read through the entire Bible in one year. This may not seem like such a big deal, but for me this was a matter of dedication and commitment. I am going to be honest here. I read the bible every day until July. I then did not read the days until August. I read again everyday until December, but when my dad died I again did not read the days until Dec 10. On December 11th, I figure out that I had 95 days worth of reading to do by the 31st in order to read the whole Bible in a year. So for those of you who aren't math people and didn't figure out that it meant I had to read roughly 5 days every one day, and if I did not skip any days than I would complete it. I missed a few days however and on the 30th I realized I had 40 days left to read. I thought about the lofty task ahead of me as I went to bed on the 30th, but I realized there is no better way to spend my day than to spend it in God's Word.
Let me clarify something. This wasn't something I had to do, I was not going to be punished and there was no real consequences if I did not finish, but it was something that I wanted to do. This was one of my resolutions from last year that I was determined to accomplish. I am going to be reading through the Bible again this year. It would be awesome if you would help keep me accountable in this area as well. NOTE: I did not make this a resolution for 2014 because it was one from last year, and I wanted 5 new ones.
Fun Facts:
1) I once read through the entire Bible in 90 days.
2) I spent over 7 hours reading the Bible on the 31st.
3) I have a hard time remembering to do something everyday.

I first saw rend collective 2 to 3 years ago live. This was before the band became popular, and I immediately loved their music. They have a album called Campfire which is supposed to be songs that sound as if they were played around a campfire. I love spontaneous worship and often when I am with my PWI friends we spend time in worship. Those worship times are often just started by someone picking up a guitar and playing a song and suddenly everyone joins in. Rend Collective has become one of my favorite bands and I hope you guys enjoy them too!
